Terms & Conditions
ADS undertake to provide a taxed, insured and dual controlled vehicle for lessons and driving tests.
All instructors will be legally qualified.
In the event of sickness or vehicle breakdown ADS will provide an alternative vehicle or instructor where possible or will re-book the lesson.
If this occurs on the day of the test and no alternative can be arranged, the test fee will be refunded.
If the instructor is ill or for any reason delayed i.e. test or traffic problems, the time lost will be re-booked at a mutually convenient date. If the pupil is late for a lesson, the
time will not be made up.
Pupils must be in possession of a valid provisional driving licence when taking each lesson and must meet the legal requirements for eyesight. It is the pupil’s responsibility to ensure that the licence is valid.
ADS reserves the right to refuse a lesson to any person who is or appears to be unfit to drive for whatever reason. The full lesson charge will be made.
Only when the pupil has reached the required standard in the opinion of the instructor will the pupil be entered for the driving test. ADS reserves the right to withdraw the use of the tuition car for the test if that standard then falls to below that required.
Where possible the decision will be made prior to the cancellation date, but ADS will not be made responsible for any resulting loss of test fee if the pupil refuses to cancel. However, ADS accepts no responsibility or liability for the outcome of the test itself.
ADS accepts no responsibility for any failure of lights during the test, since these will have been checked by candidate and instructor together immediately prior to the test.
It is the responsibility of pupils to bring all necessary documents to lessons and tests.
Charges for lessons are payable in full in advance of, or at the time of the lesson.
Cheques will only be accepted for gift vouchers and advance lesson payments.
If pupils fail to complete a prepaid course of discounted lessons, then charges and refunds will be at full lesson rate. Refunds will be paid at the end of the following month and an administration fee will be charged. All lessons cancelled within 48 hours will be chargeable.
Refunds are made if requested within one calendar month of the last lesson taken.
Gift vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of issue. No cash refund will be made.
Any change in collection point from the agreed norm may result in increased travelling time for the instructor. This time will be deducted from the lesson.
48 hours notice of cancellation by pupils for whatever reason is required unless, at the discretion of the instructor, the lesson can be re-booked within seven days.
Cancellation made within 48 hours will be charged at the full lesson rate if the lesson cannot be rebooked.
